Michigan Department of Transportation to spend 8% more this year on Southwest Michigan road and bridge upgrades

The Michigan Department of Transportation is planning to spend $84.7 million on upgrading southwest Michigan roads and bridges this year, which is $7 million more than 2011, according to an MDOT press release.
